Introducing: Atu

It’s a rare occurrence when a music producer steps from the underground scene and takes your breath away. This is what happened the first time we listened to Atu’s Music.

The Malawian producer from Ann Arbor in Michigan is just 20 years old, and is already creating a sound like no other. With 90s inspired r&b notes with soulful bass and smooth vocal sampling, Atu’s sound is progressive mix of classics with the sound of tomorrow.

The importance of silence in Atu’s music is clear. With his album titled Pictures on Silence, and beautiful pauses in his music, you are left feeling like one track isn’t enough. This is the kind of album to have on loop, no matter your mood.

It’s not all about the music however; Atu is a producer with a conscience, and has dedicated all proceeds from Pictures on Silence to EveryChild, with the hope of giving financial assistance to rural Malawi. With such a refreshing burst of smooth future soul, Atu is set to lead the way for the sound of tomorrow.
