On Repeat: Band of Skulls ‘HIMALAYAN’ Album

Band of Skulls HIMALAYAN (Released 31 March 2014 by Electric Blues Records)

Taking their music to yet another level, Band of Skulls, the trio from Southampton released ‘Himalayan’ during their ongoing tour in Europe. Raising the bar yet again, their sound continues to captivate an audience with their new album. Songs such as the psychedelic blues of Asleep At the Wheel and the glam-stomp of Hoochie Coochie.

Since the trios release of their second album ’Sweet Sour’ in 2012 they have supported bands such as Queens of the Stone Age and played at Reading Festival. Himalayan is arguably the trios best album so far with a more refined sound and a strong character. Band of Skulls are slowly moving towards the top, and ‘Himalayan’ is another step up from their previous two albums. The peak is very much within their abilities.
